PlayStation Blog outlines October PlayStation Plus Updates

PS-Plus

Sony’s PlayStation Blog has detailed the upcoming PS+ Updates for October, but take a quick look at our take on the lead-in month to the PlayStation 4 with these offerings. Note these are all free titles available to PS+ members.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (PS3) – While 38 Studios may be gone, Kingdoms of Amalur was a great fantasy game, akin to Fable or Dragon Age. If you missed this before, sneak in some time in after you finish GTAV.

Shadow of the Colossus (PS3) – This is one of my favourite PlayStation 2 titles, and is a much deserving pick in October’s offerings. Travel across the land fighting sixteen different Colossi, grasping and clawing your way to climb and find their weak points. If you’ve never experienced Shadow of the Colossus before, you’re in for a treat. Just be mindful of the camera system.

Poker Night  2 (PS3) – A quirky poker title where you’ll clash with Claptrap (Borderlands), Brock Samson (Venture Bros.), Ash (Army of Darkness) and Sam (from Sam and Max). GLaDOS is the dealer, and you can imagine she’ll test your limits.

Hotline Miami (PS Vita/PS3, Cross-buy)I won’t gush any more about Hotline Miami. Nope, that’s a lie. This game has the best soundtrack of any game in the last generation.

Sine Mora (PS Vita) – Vita owners are continuing to get quality titles through PS+, and Sine Mora is a classic scrolling shooter title with great production value. Sine Mora has been available on other platforms for a while, showing off more than 60 weapon combos and some great artwork.
